Starting from Year 3, children are introduced to both upper- and lower-case letters, along with their sounds. This foundational knowledge is crucial as it aids in vocabulary expansion and prepares them for reading. By Year 4, they develop a deeper familiarity with letters, and by Year 5, they begin to recognize words associated with specific letters, laying the groundwork for fluent reading in the future.
Our curriculum progressively introduces children to numbers. In Year 3, they learn numbers up to 50, and by Year 5, they can count and write numbers to 100, understand basic addition, and recognize coins. This structured approach ensures they grasp fundamental mathematical concepts, setting a strong foundation for more complex arithmetic in the future.
At the heart of our curriculum is the ABC Jesus Loves Me Christian Curriculum. Children continue to learn Bible stories, memory verses, and songs. More than just stories, these lessons instill values of compassion, kindness, and integrity, ensuring they grow up with a strong moral compass.
In the digital age, early exposure to STEAM is invaluable. Our preschool room integrates STEAM, teaching children problem-solving, questioning, and exploration. With dedicated computer labs, we ensure they get hands-on tech experience, preparing them for a tech-driven future. LEARN MORE ABOUT STEAM
Fine and Gross Motor Skills
Through various activities, children develop both fine (like writing) and gross motor skills (like jumping). These activities not only enhance their physical development but also teach them about patterns, shapes, and colors.
